1. PURPOSE
This policy governs the use of VPN exit nodes operated and shared by Shoreline (“Shoreline”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
These exit nodes allow authorised users to route internet traffic through Shoreline-operated network infrastructure.
Access to exit nodes is provided as a convenience service and may be withdrawn at any time.
2. USER RESPONSIBILITY
Users acknowledge that:
all internet traffic routed through an exit node is their sole responsibility;
they remain legally responsible for their actions while connected;
Shoreline provides network routing only and does not control user activity.
Use of an exit node constitutes acceptance of this policy.
3. PROHIBITED USE
Users must NOT use Shoreline exit nodes for any unlawful, abusive, or harmful activity, including but not limited to:
3.1 Illegal Activity
accessing or distributing illegal content;
fraud, scams, or financial crime;
hacking or unauthorised system access;
identity theft or impersonation;
violating applicable local, national, or international laws.
3.2 Network Abuse
denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks;
port scanning or exploitation attempts;
operating malware, botnets, or command-and-control systems;
attempting to bypass network protections unlawfully.

distribution of malicious software;
phishing or social engineering campaigns;
sending spam or bulk unsolicited communications.
3.4 Copyright or Intellectual Property Violations

4. NO EXPECTATION OF ANONYMITY
Exit nodes are not anonymous services.
Shoreline may maintain connection logs or technical records necessary to:
maintain network security,
investigate abuse reports,
comply with legal obligations.
Users must not rely on exit nodes for anonymity or unlawful concealment of identity.
5. MONITORING AND SUSPENSION
Shoreline reserves the right to:
restrict or terminate exit node access at any time;
immediately revoke access where misuse is suspected;
cooperate with upstream providers or authorities where legally required.
No notice is required where network protection or legal compliance is necessary.
6. LIABILITY LIMITATION
Shoreline provides exit node access on an as-is, best-effort basis.
Shoreline accepts no liability for:
user activity conducted through the exit node;
service interruptions;
consequences arising from misuse by users.
Users agree to indemnify Shoreline against claims arising from their use of exit node services.
7. TERMINATION OF ACCESS
Access may be revoked immediately for:
policy violations;
suspected illegal activity;
behaviour that risks Shoreline infrastructure or reputation.
8. POLICY CHANGES
Shoreline may update this policy at any time.
